Located just about 50 km from Bengaluru, still lies a patch of raw and magical wild environs even today. This 25-acre farm is sprawling green, with perennial streams Chikka thore and Antharagange meandering through and joining large reservoirs running through it. The enigmatic hill Savandurga rises above from the base and adjoining the forest there. The undulating landscape slopes up and climbs up to little peaks strewn with boulders, bamboo thickets, waterbodies, and Acacia transporting you to a completely different world.
A land that belongs not only just to homo sapiens, but the birds, bears, and pachyderms. Slender Loris and of course, the wild cat who is on the prowl and surprisingly visits once in a while. A place that popular writer and hunter Kenneth Anderson roamed around in and around the hills and penned about in the famous story “Old Munisamy and the Panther of Magadi”
